Each of our watering cans is made by hand in Europe. To begin, the watering cans are carefully shaped, assembled and thoroughly cleaned. They are then immersed in a zinc bath that is heated to over 450°C. A robust zinc coating forms on the surface, which protects against corrosion and rust formation. Finally, a powder coating is applied, which is cured in the oven to ensure an even coating. This powder coating provides additional protection against corrosion, UV radiation and mechanical wear.

Here are a few valuable tips for caring for your watering can:

1. Cleaning: After each use you should rinse or empty the watering can briefly. Water residue can lead to mold formation. It is therefore best to dry them upside down.
2. Maintenance: Regularly check the watering can's seals and caps to ensure they are working properly. If necessary, you can grease them with a little silicone grease to extend their lifespan.
3. Winter care: In winter you should empty and dry the watering can to avoid damage from frost. Store them in a frost-free location to maintain their functionality.

As a rule, you can use your watering can for years because steel is a particularly robust and durable material. But when the time comes, we ask you to take the watering can to the nearest metal recycling center and dispose of it properly.

The paper product packaging must be disposed of as waste paper and can also be recycled.
