The appropriate length depends on the size of the area to be watered.
- For balconies or terraces, 10 meters is usually sufficient.
- In smaller gardens, 20 meters is ideal, while 30 to 50 meters is recommended for larger properties.
When in doubt, a slightly longer hose is advisable so that it is not under tension and can easily be guided around obstacles such as garden furniture.
The specification refers to the inner diameter and determines the amount of water that can flow through.
- A 1/2 inch hose (13 mm) is the standard for most gardens, as it is lightweight and easy to handle for daily watering.
- A 3/4 inch hose (19 mm) offers a higher water flow and is more suitable for very large gardens or professional irrigation systems.
